Balaji Mandir

The Balaji Mandir in Nagpur has the images of one more important deity of the Hindu religion, the name of this deity is Lord Kartikeya. Balaji Mandir is famous for its architectural beauty. The temple is built in a 3 tier pattern with Ekadala Vimana for Lord Balaji and Lord Muruga. The rajagopuram (main tower of the temple) is 60 feet high. The 3 feet tall idol of Lord Muruga is housed in the upper sanctum along with his consorts Valli, Deivanai and the 6 feet tall idol of Lord Balaji (Venkateswara) is in the lower sanctum sanctorum. At the entrance of Balaji Karthikeyan Temple, there is a very well maintained garden with various flowers and one can also found a well-maintained Tulsi garden inside the temple. Besides the shrines of the main deities, Balaji Karthikeyan temple also houses shrines of Shiva, Ganapaty, Hanuman, Durga, Shithala matha, Sarparaja, Maha Sastha and also for Navagrahas – the nine planets.
