World Bank help is being taken for irrigation projects in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that he will get around Rs 6,000 crore from the bank to complete this project.

Nitin Gadkari informed about the efforts being made for irrigation projects in the presence of Vice-President Venkayya Naidu in the presence of 'Agrowvision' Agriculture exhibition at Reshimbag on Friday.

A proposal worth Rs. 6000 crore has been sent to the World Bank. States like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Orissa will also help the World Bank. Gadkari also said that the work of projects in this state will be started soon. Damanganga-Pinjar project is about 25 thousand crores and 90% finance will be provided from the center. The state will change the state due to this project. The first phase of the project will be done by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the next 3 months. This scheme will increase the irrigation capacity of the Jaikwadi project of Marathwada. Similarly, dams in Ahmednagar and Nashik areas will be filled completely. Apart from this, the ocean water will be diverted to Godavari river. Gadkari expressed that he would fill the dam in Marathwada and northern Maharashtra and solve the problem of water in this area.

Gosekhurd project will be completed in next two years. Similarly, the seven projects of Vidarbha will be completed by next year, in the Bawanthadi, Khadakpura, Dongargaon, Low Wardha, Bembla and Lower Pardi project. There is no shortage of funds for these projects. In the completion of the project, 10 lakh hectare area of ​​Vidarbha will be irrigated. Nitin Gadkari has claimed that irrigation in the state will increase from 22% to 40% in the next two to two years.
