For the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rallying in Ahmedabad's Dhankhuka today. In the rally, Modi said that he had a close relationship with the people of the business, then the PM paid tribute to him on the death anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Attacking the Congress, the PM said that a family has done great injustice to Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Sardar Patel. Modi alleged that when Pandit Nehru had the complete right to the Congress, he had done his best, that Ambedkar could not find a place in the Constituent Assembly. PM also said that Ambedkar had not got Bharat Ratna in the Congress government.

Ahmedabad is considered as the BJP's stronghold, where 17 of the 21 assembly seats are occupied by BJP. There is a second round of voting on December 14. BJP President Amit Shah, former Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel also contest elections from here.
