Nagpur :  Yuva Kranti Manch blackened the face of a lecturer for allegedly asking sexual favours from a girl student of another college, on Saturday night with him. The girl narrated the incident to her friends. On Wednesday, Yuva Kranti Manch Sena activists, led by Panju Totwani, kept a watch on Ganvir. As soon as Ganvir allegedly started misbehaving with the girl, they caught him. They blackened his face. Staff from Ambazari Police Station led by Assistant Police Inspector Parimal Mandal rushed to the spot and took Ganvir into custody.

On the basis of the victim’s complaint, cops arrested Ganvir on charges under Section 354 (d) of the Indian Penal Code. Wednesday. Ambazari Police, later, arrested the accused lecturer, Amit Kawdu Ganvir, a resident of Shahu Nagar, Besa Road, for allegedly outraging the modesty of the girl.

The 20 victim year was appearing for the first year examination at Dharampeth Polytechnic Centre. Ganvir, a lecturer in Civil Engineering at the polytechnic, was the invigilator. Around 9.30 am on April 13, the girl was appearing the examination. Ganvir took the girl’s cellphone and the hall ticket. He told her that she was using unfair means in the examination. For returning the hall ticket and allowing the girl to appear in the examination, he put a condition on her of spending
