Nagpur : Thousands of pilgrims packed in the premises of SFS Church Sadar Nagpur for the traditional Good Friday Procession on today. They marched through  the Way of Sorrows - many of them carrying big wooden crosses Singing hymns and reading from the Gospels, they retraced the footsteps of Jesus to the 14 Stations of the Cross.

Good Friday was observed with fasting and prayers in second capital, Nagpur on Friday. Good Friday marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and is observed by devout Christians with prayers and fasts. Good Friday is observed as a day of prayers, penance and fasting to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Calvary Hills nearly 2,000 years ago.  

Total 1200 devotees participated in this procession across the city where senior prelates led special prayers to mark the day.Procession were taken out with devotees bearing wooden crosses depicting the final hours of Jesus from his condemnation to the laying of the body in the tomb after crucifixion. The event was successded by the efforts of  SFS Church Sadar Nagpur.
