First  batch of over 700 pilgrims has taken off by different flights for Haj pilgrimage on Thursday from Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The first Haj flight with 220 pilgrims has taken off for Jeddah on Thursday at 11.30 am.

The second flight carrying 315 pilgrims depart  at 3.15 pm. The bus carrying Haj pilgrims flagged off at Haj House in presence of Divisional Commissioner Anup Kumar; District Collector Sachin Kurve, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Senior Corporator Dayashankar Tiwari. At Airport the arrangements wer done  by Air India Station Manager Alice Paul.

Maharashtra State Haj Committee Chairman Ibrahim Bhai; Ataur Rehman-CEO of Haj Committee, Shaheed Naseem Khan, Vice-President of Central Tanzeem Committee (CTC), Abdul Quadir Khan, President and others welcomed Haj pilgrims were present at.
The foreign currency was distributed to pilgrims.
