Nagpur : Celebrating the 71st Independence Day, Nagpur Branch of ICAI and Nagpur Branch of  WICASA hosted a musical evening ‘Ek Shaam Desh Ke Naam’ to salute the invaluable efforts of the Indian Army and Police Force. The event was organized on 14th August, 2017 at ICAI Bhawan, Dhantoli. Amid the patriotic celebrations, members and students had an opportunity to interact with the guardians of our nation, Army Major Shri Ratandeep Singh and Shri Sambhaji Kadam, DCP, Crime Branch, Nagpur Police who were present on the occasion. On this occasion Nagpur Branch felicitated the officers for their extra ordinary contribution to the country.

In his introductory remarks CA. Sandeep Jotwani, Chairman of Nagpur Branch of ICAI, expressed his gratitude towards the undying endeavour of the Army Force and Police Force for safeguarding the country in all circumstances. He also stressed the importance of discipline in one’s life and co-related the efforts to be put in by every Indian for the growth of our nation. We must always remember the efforts and pain our forces takes in protecting our rights and freedom. But we should always remember our duties towards our society as well as our country and should promote so that every citizen should be vigilant and should abide by the rules and regulations.

CA. Julfesh Shah, Member of the PR & CSR Committee of ICAI appreciated the efforts of Nagpur Branch were a program is organised to appreciate and recognise the efforts of the Guardians of Nation. He mentioned that every citizen respects and recognise the efforts of these guardians who are the real hero’s of our country. Every citizen of this country are indebted to this contribution for which we all salute our hero’s.

CA. Saket Bagdia, Chairman of Nagpur Branch of WICASA spoke in appreciation of and urged the students to draw virtues of discipline and selflessness from the Heroes of the Nation. He said that it’s not only fighting at the border that one is ethat students to contribute in Nations’s

WICASA committee members Devashish Mahadule and Gurbani Kaur Bhasin hosted the evening whereas Secretary of Branch CA. Suren Duragkar proposed formal vote of thanks.

Independence Day celebrations extended to 15th August wherein Flag hoisting at the occasion was done by the Senior Chartered Accountant CA. V.K. Surana. While addressing the gathering he said that celebrating Independence gives us a sense of belonging and motivation to develop ourselves as a nation. As a part of social initiative, various other programs were organised by the Branch.

Prominently present on the occasion were CA. Umang Agrawal, CA. Suren Duragkar, CA. Kirit Kalyani, CA. Sanjay Agrawal, CA. Swapnil Ghate, Mr. Pulkit Jhawar, Ms. Nazia Haq, Ms. Pooja Zade  and a large number of members and students.
