Nagpur: There are many cases of dowry reported on a daily bases. Adding up to them, one more case has been registered for fraud and dowry. Complainant Rajkumar Tobaram Sawlani (58), resident of Sai Chanduram Darbar, Jaripatka, registered a case against his daughter's in-laws for fraud and dowry. During his daughter's marriage, on in-laws demand, Rajkumar gifted his daughter gold ornamments.

On November 11, 2016, his daughter committed suicide jumping in front of the train. After his daughter's suicide, Rajkumar asked his daugter's in-laws to give back the gold ornaments. The condition deteriorated when accused of the case, Satish Rameshlal Premchandani (38), Ajju Rameshlal Premchandani (40), Bablu Rameshlal Premchandani (34), Muskan Ajju Premchandani (38), Rashi Bablu Premchandani (32), Sagita Premchandani (60), all residents of Bharti beauty house, shopping complex, shop no.6, near petrol pump, Dhantewada, Chattisgarh, Pinky Amit Keswami (40), resident of railwayline, Jaripatka declined to give the gold ornaments back. On several requests, Rajkumar was not able to get the jewellery back.  

On the reports given by complainant Rajkumar Tobaram Sawlani, SP Dake has registered an offence against the 7 accused under IPC section 406, 415, 420, 34, and other case under 1961 (Dowry Prohibition Act). Further probe in the case is on.
