Nagpur:  As a revenge over an old rivalry, a gang of 12-13 men assaulted a 26-year-old youth at Taj Nagar slums, Mankapur on Wednesday late night. The victim identified as Sohail Abdul Sattar alias Golu, a resident of Taj Nagar slums is under going treatment at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH). According to the Police reports, Sattar was walking home from a wedding when the gang attacked him and assaulted him with sharp knife and swords. Sattar suffered serious injuries on head, shoulders and chest.

The attackers fled away as soon as Sattar collapsed. People who witnessed the incident informed Mankapur police who immediately rushed Sattar to hospital. Sattar allegedly knows three names of the accused as Shaikh Mosin alias Baba Shaikh Musa, Shaikh Waseem Shaikh Musa and Tasju alias Tasabbur Ahmed Waseem Ahmed. According to the reports given by the victim, Police has registered a case under IPC section 307.
