Introduction:

The devout can visit the eight temples of Lord Ganesha in Vidarbha includes  Chitamani Ganesh at Kalamb, Ekchakra Ganesh at Kelzar, Shamivighnesh at Adasa, Varadvinayak at Nagpur Tekdi, Ashta-bhuja at Ramtek,  Bhrushunda Ganesh at Mendha[ Bhandara], Gourala Ganpati at Bhadravati, Panchanan and Ganpati at Paoni .

These are known as the Ashta-Vinayaks of Vidarbha.

1. Varad Vinayak/Bhushund Ganesh

This is the temple of lord ganesha. it is one of aastavinayak in vidarbha region. It is situated at Mendha village which is approx. 4km from Bhandara. It names Bhrushund Ganesh because of Bhrushund Sage whose established Ganesh statue there. The temple has ancient history.

2. Bhadra Ganesh

Bhadra Ganesh is situated on bank of Wainganga river at Pauni, Bhandara district. It is also known as ‘Panchanan’ because of its entity around the temple and is one of the Ashtavinayaks of Vidharbha.

3. Gavrala Tekdi Ganesh

The hilltop of Ganesh tekadi at Gavrala has a small Ganesh temple and its architecture and archeological remains refers the art of late ancient historic period. It is situated in the bosom of hill at Gawrala which is a small hamlet near Bhadrawati, Chandrapur. The idol of Lord Ganesh is as big and high as 7.8ft. 

4. Ganesh (Hingna)

It is situated on Butibori and Hingna indusrial area, Nagpur. There is hill station and on that there is Ganesh temple is situated. Beside it, there is also the temple of lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman. 

5. Ashtadash Ganesh
It is situated at Ramtek. Its  names as Ashtadash because the idol of Lord Ganesha  has  here eight hands.

6. Ganesh (Adasa)

It is situated in bosom of hill at Adasa, Tah- Sawner, Nagpur. There is good amenity around the premises of temple. The temple is a must-visit on the religious circuit and draws thousands of devotees all round the year

7. Ganesh (Kelzar)

It is situated in Kelzar, Wardha. This is a very ancient Ganesh Mandir. Fair meets on Bhadrapad Chaturthi and most of people are comes during fair. This temple is one of the prominent “Ashtavinayakas” in Vidarbha.

8.  Chintamani of Kalamb
The idol of Ganesh is situated under the Kalamb tree, Kalamb, Nagpur. It is also known as ‘Chintamani of Kalamb’. The main Ganesh Mandir is under the earth surface.
