Ajab Bangla (Central Museum of Nagpur) situated in civil lines, is most famous and one hundred and fifty years oldest Central Museum of Nagpur, Constructed by the British way back in 1863, when the Nagpur city was part of the Central Provinces, has an ancient inscriptions, collection of antiquities, coins, sculptures, pre-historic artefacts, collection of archaeological handicrafts, art gallery and articles day-to-day use from ancient times. 

"The museum has a rich collection depicting not just the history but also flora and fauna of Central the museum still follows a hierarchy put in place during its inauguration.The exhibits in the museum are displayed in six galleries namely art, archaeology, anthropology, geology, industry and natural history. Ajab Bangla has anthropological gallery contains huge collection of stuffed animals and dedicated section on birds, reptiles and mammals, which have been stuffed and preserved in their original shapes and sizes. Natural and cultural heritage still remains little known, most of the tourist and city’s resident also are not known of the Ajab Bangla (Central Museum of Nagpur). 

Museum has an art gallery of some unique paintings from the Bombay School of Art. Informational film shows and lectures are also conducted in the museum occasionally. The museum has also houses a well-stocked library. Ajab Bangla (Central Museum of Nagpur)is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5PM except on Mondays and public holidays.
